Albers shows Audi potential at Spa

Christijan Albers showed a great performance at Sunday's 1000km of Spa. The Dutchman worked himself up to third position but a questionable safety car situation and team-mate Bakkerud having to deal with an incident the team finished outside the top five.

"I think it went great really as we moved up to third position," Albers said on his race. "When Bakkerud took over we were in third but something strange happened with the safety car. All of a sudden we were a lap down on all the others. Then an Oreca car hit Bakkerud causing damage to the car - so that didn't help much either in our race to a podium finish.

"I think we learned a lot at Spa-Francorchamps this weekend and I'm looking forward to the 24 Hours of Le Mans now. This is a great event any driver hopes to race at least once in his career. I can't wait to get there!"
